I’ve seen Kensal Green benefit from significant gentrification over the past decade or so. Situated on Brent’s southern border, along the Harrow Road, and flanked by Harlesden, Willesden, Queen’s Park, North Kensington and White City, it’s a heady mix of all that’s best about the city, and there’s still a great buzz around this North West London enclave.
I most enjoy the warm, welcoming, village feel of Kensal Green (much like its little sister Kensal Rise), characterised by charming period homes, independent shops and restaurants. As well as a fashionable reputation (Mulberry even named a luxury handbag ‘The Kensal’) that’s fuelled by its trend-setting residents.
