Why I love being an estate agent in Neasden

Why I love being an estate agent in Neasden

The practicality of living in Neasden is a big win for me. Thanks to the North Circular there are fantastic road links in and out of London, and it’s served by the Jubilee tube line, taking you easily to Baker Street, London Bridge, and of course Stratford.

As a family we have often spent an afternoon exploring the Welsh Harp, otherwise known as Brent Reservoir. With its open water and wetland birds, this inner city reservoir really is an urban oasis – there’s even the opportunity to get involved with sailing and canoeing courses here.

Like all my favourite North West London hotspots, Neasden is a really melting pot of different people, with the Neasden temple serving as the prefect representation of this multi-cultural society I’m so proud to call home.

The service Liana provides was invaluable in securing our dream home. Professional, responsive, gregarious and proactive she helped facilitate a smooth and swift purchase process. Her experience and enthusiasm shine through. I’d highly recommend.

About Neasden

About Neasden

First recorded as ‘Neasdun’ in AD 939, this multi-cultural North West London suburb has come a long way from its agricultural roots. Straddling both NW2 and NW10 postcodes, Neasden is situated right in the centre of Brent and neighbours West Hendon, Cricklewood and Wembley Park.

It was the transport evolution that really shaped Neasden’s development, becoming an established suburb of North West London in the late 1880s with the arrival of the railway, and gaining popularity in the 1920s with the introduction of bus routes and the North Circular (A406).

Perhaps surprisingly, you’ll find tourists visiting the area too thanks to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, the biggest Hindu temple outside of Asia, and fondly referred to as The Neasden Temple. Built in 1995 and funded entirely by the Hindu community, it’s made of 2,228 tons of Bulgarian limestone and 2000 tons of Italian marble.

Fun Facts:
The British love for self-assembly furniture was propelled to even greater heights when, in 1988, IKEA opened its second UK store in the Brent Park retail area of Neasden.

Notable Neasdonians include footballers Raheem Sterling and Jock Rutherford, model and actress Twiggy, and musician Bob Marley who live in Neasden in 1972 on arrival from Jamaica.
